From the English Department: Where Are the Stairs?
I do well in my classes. I’d like to think I’m smart, and well, I do.
So today, as I’m walking with my English professor (so that we can go to the office and order a giant party sub from Subway-awesome), he turns into a door I had never noticed and voila! Stairs! I get excited and with out thinking relate the fact that I had never been able to find another staircase in the building. As such, I lost valuble snacking time whenever I needed to get to the vending machines in a hurry.
My professor looked at me and laughed. Not with me- at me. He then proceded to tell me that there were several staircases, all marked by signs saying “STAIRS” and “EXIT.” I offered some jarbled excuse and put my tail between my legs. He, however, was not done. When we exit the stairs, he points out both signs, and looks down the hall for the next set. I uttered “oh” and proceded to change the subject back to sandwiches.
Which, by they way, are awesome.
